Privacy Policy
Last updated · May 16, 2026Sylienne (“Sylienne,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a debut footwear studio. This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have about it. We try to write our policies the way we would want them written if we were the customer — short and specific.
What we collect
- Account & reservation data: name, shipping address, email, phone, sizing preferences, payment method, order history.
- Payment data: processed by our payment processor (e.g. Stripe). We never see or store full card numbers on our servers.
- Communications: email replies, support tickets, newsletter subscription state.
- Device & usage data: IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited. Used in aggregate to improve the site.
- Cookies & local storage: we use small amounts of local storage to keep your reservation in the cart between visits. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
How we use it
- To process and ship your reservation.
- To send transactional and production-update emails about your specific order.
- To send our newsletter, but only if you opt in (one click to unsubscribe in every email).
- To prevent fraud, comply with law, and resolve disputes.
Who we share it with
Only the third parties strictly required to operate the brand: payment processing (Stripe), shipping (DHL, FedEx, USPS), email delivery (Resend / Postmark), and our cloud hosting provider. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Reservation records are kept for at least seven (7) years for tax and warranty purposes. Newsletter subscribers are kept until you unsubscribe. Aggregated, non-identifying usage data may be retained indefinitely.
Your rights
Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws you may request a copy of, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
Sylienne is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
International transfers
Sylienne is operated between New York and Florence. Your personal data may be transferred to and processed in either jurisdiction under standard contractual clauses.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date and email anyone with an active reservation.
